District Kitchen: A Modern and Cozy Spot for New American Cuisine [Review]

If you are looking for a place to enjoy a delightful meal with a creative twist, you might want to check out District Kitchen. This modern and cozy restaurant offers a variety of dishes that showcase the best of New American cuisine, using fresh and local ingredients. Whether you are in the mood for a hearty burger, a light salad, or a decadent dessert, you will find something to satisfy your taste buds at District Kitchen.

How was the food?

The food was excellent. I ordered the District Burger, which was a juicy and flavorful patty topped with bacon jamcheddar cheeselettucetomato, and aioli, served with crispy fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, and the bacon jam added a sweet and savory touch. The fries were hot and seasoned well, and the aioli was a nice dip. I also tried the Green Falafel Fritters, which were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with herbschickpeasgreek yogurt, and garlic herb tahini. The fritters were delicious and filling, and the sauces were creamy and tangy.

How was the ambiance?

The ambiance was relaxing and friendly. The restaurant had a warm and inviting decor, with wooden furniture, colorful cushions, and cute dumpling-themed art and signs. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the service was fast and efficient. The restaurant also had a large and clean dining area, with comfortable seats and tables.

What would you recommend ordering from their menu?

I would recommend ordering the District Burger, as it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. I would also recommend the Green Falafel Fritters, as they were a unique and tasty appetizer. And of course, you can’t go wrong with any of their signature cocktails, such as the District Mule, the Lavender Lemonade, or the Old Fashioned.

Do they accept walk-ins, or do I need a reservation?

They accept both walk-ins and reservations, but you can also call ahead to place your order or make a reservation. They are usually busy during lunch and dinner hours, so it might be a good idea to plan ahead if you want to avoid the wait.

When is the best time to go?

The best time to go is anytime you are looking for a great meal with a fun vibe. They are open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and they also have a brunch menu on FridaySaturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. They also have a happy hour menu on Monday to Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m..

Do they accept bookings for special events?

Yes, they do. They can cater for your special events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or corporate meetings. They can provide a customized menu and a professional service for your guests. You can contact them by phone or email to discuss your needs and preferences.

Is it worth visiting?

Definitely. District Kitchen is a must-try for anyone who loves New American cuisine or wants to try something new and different. They offer a high-quality and affordable dining experience, with a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. They are one of the best restaurants in Austin, and I can’t wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes.
