Scorci Di Mare - Cinque Terre, Italy, offers more than just an awesome location and colorful houses. It also has one of the most stunning views of the Riomaggiore harbor facing the Ligurian Sea.
I take food, traveling, and accommodation seriously. With my multiple experiences, both good and bad, and being featured on sites such as Your Tango and Edible Arrangements, I can vouch for some of the best hotels. And Scorci Di Mare, Italy, did not disappoint.
So, dive in!

When is the perfect time to visit this hotel?
If you enjoy the sunny weather and don't mind a flock of tourists, try visiting around the summertime from June to August. But if you want to experience Cinque Terre during the quiet, cool months, the best time to visit is around September to October, when tourists are heading home, and the temperature is dropping as well as hotel prices.
What are the nearby tourist attractions?
The Cinque Terre National Park is a combination of both man-made and natural landscapes. It also has a seascape! With many nearby attractions to enjoy, it offers paths for tourists to experience the view of its coast and its lush vegetation. One of its best spots, the Sentiero Azzurro or the Blue Trail, runs 12 km connecting all five villages in the area. Get yourself a Cinque Terre card for this: it'll give you access to all sorts hiking trails and train rides!
Many restaurants, such as Rio Bistrot, are close by. There are hiking and mountain biking paths nearby as well! You'll have plenty of chances to get to know the locals and their ways by visiting the Cinque Terre town center close to the hotel.
I also recommend you include in your Cinque Terre itinerary the Castle of Riomaggiore, the Church of San Giovanni Battista, Enoteca la Civilta del Bere e Altro, the Church of San Lorenzo, and the Naval Museum to really dive in on that cultural experience.
Do they offer water activities near the hotel?
What's a vacation by the coast without some water activities? Riomaggiore beach, near the Scorci Di Mare, is the best place to enjoy the summer days by renting kayaks or motorboats and exploring the coast. Visit the Vernazza beach or the old town of Monterosso Al Mare and take a dip in its cool waters.
Tours are offered at different times of the day, depending on what you and your group are up to. You can do some snorkeling, diving, sightseeing, and a sunset tour to cap off the day.
How is the parking facility?
While there's no private parking next to the hotel, there's paid parking available to guests located 500 meters uphill from the property, close to the Cinque Terre village. But since you can get almost everywhere on foot, you don't have to worry about needing a car to get around.
How far is the nearest train station?
The Riomaggiore train station is an easy 10-minute walk from the hotel. The path to the hotel from the train station has some steep and narrow staircases, so I recommend not bringing big luggage items with you.
How are the room amenities?
The air-conditioned rooms, featuring modern furnishings, tiled floors, and wood-beamed ceilings, offer basic amenities such as a flat-screen TV, a writing desk, a fridge, a private bathroom, and Wi-Fi. Some accommodation options have small kitchens, good for those who like cooking or those with a specific diet. While some rooms have windows looking out to see, others have balconies that let you enjoy the amazing views even more.
Are pets allowed in the hotel rooms?
One of the best things about this hotel is they allow guests to bring their pets, so you don't have to worry about leaving your precious furry friends at home!
Are there in-house restaurants and night bars?
There are no in-house restaurants and bars at this Cinque Terre accommodation, but fortunately, it is close to some of the best restaurants to dine at and have a fun night out.
Do you recommend staying at Scorci Di Mare?
Definitely! Scorci Di Mare is one of the best hotels in Cinque Terre. Its stunning sea view, friendly and accommodating owner and staff, and perfect location are what you'd want to enjoy your vacation. Booking a guest room in this 14th-century building that boasts colorful houses on the cliffs of Cinque Terre park is an experience to remember.
